Chrissy: Mah Hur (my hair)

Guys.
My hair is getting ridiculous.
really.
So much so that I'm taking on a whole project dedicated to the unruliness of it.
What should I do?!
I really don't want to cut it because of my goal.
BUT REALLY.
I don't know how much more frizzy insanity I can stand!
Also, I feel slightly pressured to get a more indy artistic looking do.
To those who don't want me to cut my hair speak up soon!
I need help!

Chrissy: Halloween...

Ah! Halloween, how I love you!
Rachel and I were Greek Muses.
Goddesses of the Arts and Proclaimers of Heros.
Notice how elegantly we wrapped ourselves in our bed sheets, haha
Being a Muse-like (finally an excuse for my Greek lookin nose.)
Happy Muse
My Muse sister, me, Greaser Rachel M., and German Ashley :)
My intense, asian inspired (Jon!) pumpkin.

Dragon, Mulan, a few of my many designs and carving tools.
Broken carving tool because my designs are so intense.

Chrissy: On Winter.

There are many who hate winter.
I actually like it.
I have a pretty high tolerance of cold (most of the time).
My only problem with winter is the fact that my dorm room is FREEZING when it snows.
And I don't like to be cold when I sleep.
Who does?
So, I know you all are thinking, "Oh my goodness! How does she stay warm at night?"
I'll show you.
Below you see me in my summer pajamas.
Then you see all the articles of clothing I put on before I go to bed during the winter.
A hat. A scarf. A jacket (over my shirt). Sweats. Long socks. And a water bottle full of hot water.
After this I climb into bed where I get under a fleece blanket, then a thick quilt, and finally my bead spread.
Sometimes this works.
Sometimes I'm still cold.
Such is life.

Chrissy: :)

Because bowling an 89 is a new record for me :)
Plus getting an 87% on my Mythology paper is a rather relieving thing
Ah
good day

Chrissy: Yesterday

Yesterday
I learned that taking a nap in front of the administration office
on a pile of leaves
during drawing class
with only half of my face turned towards the sun
leaves a rather odd looking sunburn.
My ears are officially different colors.
The left is red.
The right is white :P

Chrissy: Self Portrait

Because right now I'm a tablet addict.
And I just want to procrastinate all my art homework and projects I've committed myself to....
*sigh*

Chrissy: <3

...because once again I find myself in a terribly romantic mood
with no boyfriend.
This pic was painted in photoshop.
A little bit different style than I usually do
but I rather like it!
Tell me what you think

Chrissy: Keys.

The keys, I have found, to a happy day are:
1. A.M. Yoga.
I've been waking up at 7 this week to do a 15 min A.M. Yoga exercise. And even though I just go back to bed afterwards It makes me feel super good for the rest of the day.
2.Smiley people.
This one you can't really control. But when people are really nice (especially the testing center people) it just brightens your day!
Fast food ruins a good day. Bleh.
(pic from my notebook that I colored in photoshop. I've decided that I'm going to try to include a little illustration or something in every post.)

Chrissy: New Banner

Thanks for the ones who commented on my bad day post :)
Today was much much better.
This new blog banner has been in the works for a while.
I got very busy with art for school so I didn't have time for it until now.
So here tis!
Tell me what you think!

Chrissy: very bad day.

Of course such a terrible Monday
would follow such a wonderful weekend.
I stayed up to 2:30 AM doing homework.
I woke up late.
Didn't have time to do my hair
and makeup...
I kid you not, my hair looked like a ratted lion's mane.
Got to my 1st class late.
Then in drawing we started perspective drawings.
Which are THE worst.
And I found out that everyone in my class is better than me.
Then I bowled the WORST two games I've bowled since the school year started.
THEN my friend bought me a root beer... and it exploded.
Then on my way home, while I was crossing the street, the handles to my portfolio were ripped off.
Then I tripped coming up the stairs in front of everyone.
and that is how it has come to be a very bad day.

(my picture of me failing at life... and my insane hair, who likes to think it owns itself)

Chrissy: The key to bowling

Ah!
I finally have time to get on here.
My midterms were killing me.
Killing me dead.
But now I have a secret to share with you!
Last monday, in my bowling class, I discovered the key to bowling.
All you have to do is pretend you're a ninja.
Seriously.
I pretended I was a ninja
and my score went up at least 25 points each time
All I had to think was:
feel the bowling ball
be the bowling ball
be the pins
NINJA STEALTH

Chrissy: 2 things college has taught me.

1. When someone offers you free food eat as much as you can. Then stuff the rest in your pockets for left overs. Depending on how big your pockets are and how you divvy out your portions this could last you for up to a week.
2. Sleep wherever and whenever you can. It may just be your last state of restfulness for a while. Curled in a fetal position is best. However, in a full eagle sprawl will work if you are on the grass, in one of the HFAC's many courtyards, or on the floor of the library.
Sleeping on your desk is NOT acceptable. Unless you are sitting on the back row behind a very big football player. If you lock yourself in a bathroom stall eventually someone will come and wake you up. This method is not recommended.

Chrissy: what you don't know about me...

What I've never told you
is that during my trip to Hawaii last spring
Corala and I became fierce warriors.

We fought many battles.
Including the ongoing war between humidity and our thick hair.
Impressed by our mighty skills
A High Chief made us Chief Warriors.
Corala was not ready for the power and responsibility this entailed.
I, however, was more than ready.
My accomplishments were so great
that they constructed a statue in my honor
(it wasn't a great likeness)
Eventually, however, we had to say goodbye to our fellow warriors
and head back to our home in the Rocky Mountains.
Both of us changed by our experiences.
